UPDATE (4: 30 p.m.): Investigators say fog may have played a role in a crash that killed one woman in Progreso. 

"One of the main factors that contributed to this accident. It was a high density fog. The distance of see the other vehicle is very short. Please be extra careful."

PROGRESO – A woman was killed after a two vehicle crash in Progreso.

The accident happened along FM 1015 and Tejas Street around 8 a.m. Monday.

The woman killed has not been identified.

Police say the driver of the other vehicle did stop to render aid.
