Weslaco Police Seek Help to Identify Person of Interest in Theft Investigation
WESLACO – Weslaco police is asking the public’s help to identify a person of interest in a theft investigation.
Police say they responded to a call in regards to a theft of cellphone last Wednesday at the Wal-Mart in Texas Boulevard North.
The victim told police they had accidentally left a black iPhone 7 at the self-checkout cash register.
According to a press release issued out Friday by the Weslaco Police Department, surveillance video shows a man scanning some items and then grabbing the phone on his way out.
He’s seen leaving the store in an old maroon Ford F-150 pickup truck model.
Authorities say the male subject has short brown hair, facial hair and uses glasses. He was last seen wearing a dark blue t-shirt and blue jeans with brown shoes.
