Representatives from a local nonprofit organization are gearing up to remind registered voters of their ballot counts ahead of Election Day.

In Hidalgo and Cameron County, nearly 19,000 people hit the polls during the early voting period.

Now, the nonprofit La Union Del Pueblo Entero (LUPE) is working to increase voter turnout with a new organization called LUPE Votes.
