MISSION – Pursuits are becoming a daily occurrence in the upper Rio Grande Valley.
On Wednesday morning, state troopers were trying to stop a 28-year-old for a traffic violation on El Faro Road in Sullivan City. Then he went on a high speed chase leading to the discovery of a human smuggling case.
The chase came to an end in Palmview after the car hit a utility pole, lasting close to 12 miles.
At the scene, two Chinese nationals and a woman from El Salvador were placed in a Border Patrol van.
