Valley educators question law preventing high school teachers from teaching race
Some Valley college instructors are questioning a new Texas law that prevents high school teachers from incorporating race into lesson plans.
Some of these college instructors teach dual enrollment classes for high school students.
"So the question is, would they be able to, for instance, not talk about controversial issues or issues that might make students feel uncomfortable,” STC history instructor Trinidad O. Gonzales said
Channel 5 News reached out to the Texas Education Agency but have not heard back.
