NEAR HARLINGEN- Two people are in custody in connection to a homicide investigation in Cameron County.
Sheriff Omar Lucio tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS one of them is a witness, the other is a 28-year-old male suspect.
Around 5:00 Saturday morning, deputies responded to a call of gunshots at a home on Bass Boulevard.
Authorities say the shots rang out during an argument between two men who were drinking.
The suspect allegedly shot the victim, a 57-year-old man from Mercedes, as he sat in his Jeep.
He's expected to go before a judge Monday morning.
