Trial dates set for 16 people accused of voter fraud in Edinburg
EDINBURG – Several people indicted on voter fraud charges were back in court Friday for a pre-trial hearing.
The 16 individuals at the hearing requested extensions for their court dates.
They were indicted last year in connection with the 2017 city of Edinburg election.
Most of them are accused of illegally changing their address to the city of Edinburg before the election in order to vote even though they did not live there.
Edinburg Mayor Richard Molina is also facing charges in the case.
