WESLACO – A state agency is working to make sure you know which businesses are owned by veterans.

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission is asking business owners who have alcohol license or permit to email the agency about their veteran status.

The TABC said it will verify the business owner’s status and place a certificate at the establishment.

The commission said they hope the certificate will help customers support veteran-owned businesses.
