UPDATE (10/1): There is still no response from the Valley View ISD superintendent in regards to complaints of a school building without A/C. 

CHANNEL 5 NEWS contacted the school district numerous times last week. They said they would return our request in the coming days but they have yet to respond. 

A parent we spoke with says the district told her to file a complaint with the maintenance department.

HIDALGO – Parents at an early college campus are demanding answers, claiming a lack of air conditioning inside the school.

The handful of parents say the news of the temperature being warmer than usual inside the building has come from their children – not the Valley View Independent School District.

“She was very dehydrated, I asked her why. 'They have been without an A/C for one week already today.' And I’m like, 'How could that be possible?'” described a mother.

She says in the future she wants to be notified about any situation by the campus or district, not by her child.

Valley View ISD told CHANNEL 5 NEWS an official response will be issued in the next couple of days.
