The Brownsville Fire Department continues to monitor a grass fire that was ignited Thursday near the SpaceX Boca Chica launch site.
The team at Boca Chica Starbase was performing a static fire test of Starship 24 as part of its pre-flight checks before they attempt to send Starship and its superheavy booster into suborbital flight.
Cameron County Fire Marshal Juan Martinez said the Brownsville Fire Department is at the scene to keep an eye on things.
