SOUTH PADRE ISLAND - The City of South Padre Island will host a public workshop regarding Spring Break Ordinances and Special Event Permits on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall, located at 4601 Padre Boulevard.

South Padre Island residents are encouraged to attend the workshop to review current requirements and potential new components to ordinances.  This workshop will provide an opportunity for residents to be involved and to suggest priorities and strategies.   

“The workshop’s objective is to re-evaluate the City’s existing ordinances,” said Susan Guthrie, city manager.  “Community involvement and participation is essential to future decisions.”

Relevant data that has been gathered and analyzed will be presented at this meeting.

Prior to this meeting the public is asked to submit comments to springbreakinput@myspi.org.  The input will be used to generate ideas for implementation of ordinances to ensure public safety.
