An investigation is underway after a 29-year-old man was found dead in Harlingen of a suspected fentanyl overdose, according to the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office.

The death was reported the same day Harlingen officials announced a total of 12 fentanyl related overdoses in the last week, four of which killed Harlingen residents.
