PHARR – A second person has died in connection with a fatal fire in Pharr.

The family confirmed Senovio Perez passed away last week.

Perez had been in critical condition at a burn unit in San Antonio since the fire happened in early December. Another man, Jose Luis Chavez, also died in the fire.

Fire investigators say the two men got trapped inside the house while attempting to put it out the blaze on their own.
