SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – A sea turtle conservation organization says they’re disappointed with the Texas Supreme Court’s recent ruling that forces cities to repeal plastic bag bans.
Officials with Sea Turtle Inc. say they’re disappointed South Padre Island’s ban of single-use plastic bags won’t be enforced anymore.
“Each year we document sea turtles that have ingested plastic in many forms,” says Sea Turtle Inc. Executive Director Jeff George. “We will continue to provide public education about the dangers of marine debris and its impact.”
