WESLACO – Investigators say sales of fake license plates in the Rio Grande Valley are on the rise.
Illegal temporary license paper plates can be found on sale online and at flea markets; some ads claiming to be 100 percent legal but they’re not.
A first-time car lot owner says they keep tabs on their temporary licenses plates.
