Roma daycare owner charged with injury to a child
The owner of a daycare in the city of Roma was arrested and charged with injury to a child, according to police.
The daycare, Kids Corner Daycare, is now being investigated, according to Roma Police Chief I.V. Garza.
Garza said Kids Corner Daycare Owner Marielva Garza was arrested after police received a report of a possible injury to a child, but declined to provide details of the report.
According to Garza, Child Protective Services was contacted. The agency is now investigating the daycare.
Channel 5 News attempted to reach out to the daycare, but contact information was not available.
Kids Corner Daycare did not show up on the state's list of licensed daycares.
Garza is currently out on bond, and police say the child is OK.
