Rio Grande City High School principal addresses A/C issues
The air conditioning system at Rio Grande High School is expected to be fully operational by the time the new school year begins next week, according to a social media post from the school.
In an attempt to address social media posts concerning the air conditioning system at Rio Grande High School, principal Maribel Montemayor released a statement assuring the public that the air conditioning will be fixed.
“After a thorough inspection and assessment, we are confident that the necessary repairs will be completed before the start of the next school week,” Montemayor said. “We are committed to creating a conducive learning environment for all and are taking all the necessary steps to ensure that the air conditioning system will be fully operational and functioning.”
New parts to fix the system will be installed on Friday, the release stated.
The first day of school for the campus is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 15.
