EDINBURG, Texas -- The Museum of South Texas History has opened a new exhibit featuring the RGV Killer Bees legacy, on and off the ice. A short lived return in 2018 didn't last. It's been over a decade since the Valley could take in a full Killer Bees hockey season.

Jenarae Bauista, Curator of Exhibits at the Museum of South Texas History says, "We wanted to get the community response to bring back that nostalgia of, hey I remember when that happened 10, 12 years ago, we would go to the games. We wanted to invoke that feeling and highlight sports history here at the museum."

The exhibit features jersey's, awards from the mascot 'Sir Sting A Lot' as well as photos, bringing back memories of the days on that rink.

"Judging by how the community responded to the social media, I think the community will enjoy it, actually they have been enjoying it already" says Francisco Guajardo, the Chief Executive Officer at the Museum of South Texas History.

The exhibit is only open for a limited time. It closes on Saturday, October 26. Giving Valley fans until then to relive the legacy of South Texas hockey.
