HARLINGEN – A local credit union has lost thousands of dollars as a result of skimming.  

Rio Grande Valley Credit Union is now reimbursing about 25 members who reported fraud.

The CEO of the credit union explains skimming as a type of fraud where financial institutions lose out.

KRGV’s Sierra Pizarro spoke with the CEO of Rio Grande Valley Credit Union who offers advice on how to prevent this from happening.
