SAN JUAN – Residents near two schools in San Juan are worried for their children's safety.
They say there are no sidewalks and there’s heavy traffic on the way to Sorrenson Elementary and Austin Middle School.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS was there nearly a year ago for the same issue.
We were told last December by the San Juan city manager that grants had been awarded and construction was set to start in the months after, but residents say they haven’t seen any work being done.
Parents say it’s an accident waiting to happen.
They're tired of students forced to walk in the grass or worse, on the side of the street, to get to class because of the lack of sidewalks.
