MISSION – A potential new business in Mission is a cause for concern for neighbors and city officials.
Neighbors say they are concerned over the extra traffic near the building that will put students at risk.
They say students get on and off the bus near the building’s parking lot.
“There are 21 homes down this street, it's a cul-de-sac. Right at this corner is where there's a bus stop with at least 32 kids that get on and off during the school day every day,” says Jennifer Sieglar.
The developer’s plan was to turn one of the building’s units into a drive-thru restaurant.
The plan got denied by the city council after the neighbors spent three minutes each explaining their concerns.
