ALAMO – The case against an accused human smuggler is moving forward.

Authorities say Nathan Tamez crashed into an Alamo home after he was shot back in June.

Two people in the country illegally were allegedly in the vehicle Tamez was driving.

The shooters were never found.

A pre-trial hearing is set for next month.
