Potential Pet Owners Gather at Cameron Co. Adoption Fair for Rescued Dogs
SAN BENITO – Humane society workers are looking to match potential pet owners with rescued dogs in their care.
The animals were rescued from a warehouse in Los Fresnos last week.
On Sunday, some pet owners were reunited with the lost dogs.
On Monday, hopeful owners lined up outside the Cameron County Animal Shelter, ready to give more of the dogs a new home.
Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino says the animals over five months will need to be spayed or neutered before they are released to a potential pet owner.
The procedures will take place within the next two weeks, then the animals will be available to be picked up.
