ALTON - Alton Police have identified a suspect in a shooting that left two people dead on Friday.
It happened on the 900 block of West Jefferson Street.
Police said they are looking for 22-year-old Oscar Velasquez.
Velasquez is accused of shooting the victims during a dispute before fleeing.
The victims were identified as Carlos Perez and Eduardo Rodriguez.
Alton Police Chief Jonathan Flores at a press conference on Sunday said, "We want to convey to the residents of Alton this was an isolated incident that stemmed from a domestic dispute at the location. There's no threat to any of the citizens in the immediate area."
