DONNA--New signs are up at Donna Lake warning people about the risks of cancer.
More than two decades ago, the EPA found the cancer causing chemical PCB in the lake. The fish in the lake are contaminated. THE EPA and U.S. Fish and Wildlife have been removing the contaminated fish.
Our news crew noticed new signs warning people of the danger of fishing at the lake. Before there were signs warning people not to fish, but they didn't explain the risk of cancer.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS didn't see people fishing at the lake on Sunday.
