MISSION – Mission firefighters will soon be able to offer first aid to pets.
Four bags filled with equipment for animals were recently donated. The donations came after Mission firefighters were seen on a reality TV show pulling dogs from a burning house. They had to use their own oxygen masks on the dogs.
The Fetch Foundation got wind of what happened and stepped in to help.
Watch the video above for further details.
The fetch Foundation donated FIDO bags and will serve as equipment for fire fighters to perform life saving measures to family pets involved in a house fire. We will be seeking approval from council to place them on fire apparatus. #SavingLives #SavingPets @krgv @monitornews pic.twitter.com/FiLGeFskjw
