WESLACO – Some Rio Grande Valley residents are trying to find loved ones impacted by the earthquake in Central Mexico.
At the moment, there are places in the devastated region where phone and internet service is limited.
The Mexican Consulate set up a phone line for Americans to call. The number is 855-463-6395.
Anyone can call the number to try and find someone or get more information on the quake.
Operators are standing by 24 hours a day and are available in English and Spanish.
Google also set up their Person Finder feature and Facebook activated their safety check.
