WESLACO – Federal authorities in Mexico are questioning the drivers of eight big rigs and 15 trucks loaded with gasoline and diesel.
They want to know where the fuel came from and if it was bought legally.
The trucks were seized on the Reynosa-Monterrey highway.
Officials say the drivers were not able to prove where the fuel came from or if it was legally imported and legally purchased.
About 41,000 gallons of gasoline and more than 76,000 gallons of diesel were seized.
The fuel, trucks and drivers were turned over to Mexican federal investigators.
