MCALLEN – Last week, Gov. Greg Abbott announced retail outlets would be able to reopen, but sales and operations will be different.
Starting Friday, businesses can reopen for curbside or delivery services only.
Steve Ahlenius, president of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, says the reopening of small retail outlets will not only be a relief, but the shutdown itself has come with a silver lining.
The impact caused by the coronavirus pandemic has made small retailers realize they should also sell their products online.
