MCALLEN – Local man says a routine car wash left his car damaged by company equipment.

Owner of the damaged vehicle, Jorge Hernandez, says the damage estimate came out to $1,400 but Blue Wave Express refuses to pay.

He says a large piece of equipment got stuck under his car and left the bracket on the undercarriage broken.

“They basically said, 'we aren’t going to cover it', no explanation just we’re not going to cover it,” says Hernandez.

A South Texas Blue Wave spokesperson informed KRGV’s John Paul Barajas that corporate and regional managers are looking into the matter.
