EDINBURG – A judge on Thursday sentenced a man who killed a Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office communications officer to 20 years in prison.
State District Judge Marla Cuellar sentenced Orlando Zuniga Rodriguez, 21, of Edinburg to 20 years in prison during a hearing on Thursday morning.
Rodriguez caused the car crash that killed sheriff's office communications officer Sandra Coronado on Dec. 9, 2018. At the time of the crash, Rodriguez was intoxicated.
