LOS INDIOS – Local leaders who met with President Trump about the border wall are reflecting on his visit.
Los Indios mayor, Rick Cavazos sat with the president’s discussion group to hear border wall plans.
"It's going to involve funding for a variety of things from technology to personnel to port-of-entry upgrades," Cavazos says.
Cavazos was previously a Border Patrol agent before becoming mayor.
He says the partial government shutdown and division in parties is not the answer to border security.
Cavazos says his first priority is to keep the community safe.
