WESLACO – They started their restaurant with only three tables on their front porch.
Sixty-eight years and three generations later, the family came together to celebrate their legacy.
Milano’s Restaurant is credited to have introduced pizza to the Rio Grande Valley.
“Both of my grandparents and my parents, they put their whole hearts into it and because of their hard work they brought it this far,” said Angela Milano.
Her father, Lino Milano, went to Italy from South Texas to marry Giovanna, her mother.
They would serve pizza and other Italian entrées from their house and everyone would gather on the porch to enjoy the food.
