Local foundation donates $38M to UTRGV Medical School

EDINBURG – A $38 million donation was announced Tuesday to University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Medical School.

The money came from the Valley Baptist Legacy Foundation. It’s the second largest donation made to higher education in South Texas.

UTRGV President Guy Bailey says the contribution will help attract and keep doctors in the Valley.
