MCALLEN – The Palm Valley Animal Center is expected to become a no-kill shelter.

A spokesperson for the center says staffers will pursue more treatment and medical care options for animals under their care.

They say since a restructuring plan was implemented in March, they’ve noticed a reduction in illnesses.
