The cities of San Benito and Harlingen have requested a full closure of State Highway 345 for San Benito police officer lieutenant Milton Resendez.

The closure is scheduled for Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m between Business 77 and San Jose Ranch Road, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The release says all lanes will be closed and drivers are advised to plan ahead and seek an alternate route.
