EDINBURG – Crews broke ground Friday for a new $150 million Hidalgo County courthouse.
County Judge Ramon Garcia and county commissioners explained it’s one of the biggest projects the county has taken on.
The project was headed up by Garcia, who will be leaving his post at the end of the year.
Elected officials say the project will stay on track under newly-elected incoming Judge Richard Cortez.
