WESLACO – A health alert is being sent out about the flu epidemic. Hidalgo County health officials said flu cases have increased.
Twenty three states, including Texas, are reporting high levels of flu.
Texas is reporting what the state calls “rapid tests positive flu.” And compared to the rest of the state, the Rio Grande Valley is in good shape.
Nonetheless the Hidalgo County Health Department is encouraging people to get their flu shot if they haven’t.
People can call the health department at 383-3221 for more information.
