HARLINGEN – A Harlingen woman’s home is in danger of being foreclosed due to inherited debt.

Marisol Puente says she found out $18,000 is owed to a house she inherited from her father when he passed away.

“They came to sue the property owners but unfortunately I’m not the property owner my dad is, and my dad passed away,” says Puente.

Attorney Monica Solis explains she sees cases like Puente’s often.

Solis says they are going to schedule a meeting with Puente to talk about payment options.
