UPDATE (6/27): A Harlingen business will have to make sure a nearby sinkhole doesn't pose a threat to customers before it can reopen.
City officials say it formed Monday prompting the closure of Family Dollar on Rangerville Road.
The Harlingen planning and development director says the store is ordered to remain closed until structural engineers can inspect the area.

HARLINGEN – Officials have deemed a Harlingen building unsafe due to a nearby sinkhole.
The store, located off of Rangerville Road, was forced to shut down on Monday.
It is unclear if last week’s storms were the cause of the sinkhole.
