HARLINGEN – Residents in Harlingen are concerned about facing a hurricane after recent storms caused flooding in several areas.
They say their neighborhoods wouldn’t be able to withstand a hurricane.
Cameron County Emergency Manager Tom Hushen says two to four inches of rain fell over Harlingen within one hour Monday.
One resident says there are two drainage inlets near her home but that didn’t prevent any flooding.
KRGV’s Daisy Martinez spoke with the assistant city manager about the improvements needed to prevent flooding in Harlingen.
