Harlingen Police Following Leads of Missing Attorney Case

HARLINGEN – Authorities have been following several leads of possible sightings of missing attorney, Ernesto Gonzales.

Harlingen Police Department Sgt. Emilio Weaver said in the past two days, they have received at least four credible leads indicating Gonzales is still in the Harlingen area.

A relative said everything was routine at home and the office the day Gonzales, also known as “El Gallito”, went missing.

Police said there was no sign of foul play. They took custody of his truck that had been left parked in the driveway.

"At the end of the day, we still don't know if the he harmed himself or if he's been harmed by someone else or if he was in an accident," said Weaver. "There's numerous things that could've happened to him that we don't know yet. So at that point we still have to - no matter who it is - we still have to investigate."

Official said they've also possessed Gonzales’ credit card and cell phone records.
