MCALLEN – For the second time, former judge Rodolfo ‘Rudy’ Delgado is asking for his upcoming trial to be held in the Rio Grande Valley.

His attorney filed a motion saying that the alleged crimes should stay within the McAllen division since that’s where they took place.  

The trial is set to take place in Houston.

Delgado’s attorney says the government wants it outside the Valley because of a perceived fear of juror bias.

A telephone conference will be held on Friday to talk about the moving trial date.
