BROWNSVILLE – A former Brownsville fire chief was in court again on Thursday.
Carlos Elizondo pleaded not guilty, for a second time, to theft charges.
His defense attorney says he was issued two indictments and charged twice for the same alleged crime, claiming it to be double jeopardy.
Elizondo is accused of taking money from the firefighters’ union funds.
