MCALLEN--Travelers at the McAllen International Airport were forced to change their travel plans after flight delays and cancellations.
     Flights at the airport were cancelled or delayed because of the weather in places around the country.
     "Well I just got here I told my family to just drop me off and then I got the text about the flight being cancelled," said Laura Reyes, who was flying to Wichita, Kansas.
     "Unfortunately, we're experiencing some delays for safety reasons of course, apparently at the Dallas airport, it's iced over the runways," said Omar Chavez, who was going to Dallas.
     At least two flights at Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport to and from Houston were also cancelled. Hundreds of flights in Houston were cancelled due to winter weather.
