A restaurant in Raymondville was declared a total loss after a fire broke out early Wednesday morning. 

The fire reported at Vaqueros Restaurant, located at 383 E. Hidalgo Ave., was caused by a buildup of grease, according to the Raymondville Fire Department.

According to Raymondville Fire Chief Oscar Gutierrez, more than 50% of the restaurant's ventilation grease tubing had buildup.

No injuries were reported.
