FBI seeks help in locating missing Laredo family last seen in Mexico
The FBI is seeking information from the public to help locate a missing Laredo mom and her two children who disappeared last week after visiting relatives in Mexico.
Gladys Cristina Perez Sanchez, 39, and her two children - John Carlos Gonzalez, 16, and Michelle Cristina Duran, 9, - were last seen on Sunday, June 13 at about 3:40 p.m. after visiting relatives in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon.
According to a news release FBI’s San Antonio Division, investigators believe the family likely went missing on the Monterrey-Nuevo Laredo Highway at kilometer marker 100 by Vallecillo on their way home.
“There were no indications the family did not plan to return to their home in Laredo,” the news release stated, adding that investigators believe the family could be in Parás, Nuevo Leon.
The family was last seen a yellow, 2014 Chevrolet Sonic with Texas license plates NBX-4740.
Sanchez is an employee of a school district in Laredo and is described as having brown eyes, long black hair, approximately 5’ in height and weighing approximately 150 pounds, the news release stated. Gonzalez, has brown eyes, short red hair, and is approximately 5’8” in height and approximately 180 pounds. Duran, has brown eyes, long, black, curly hair, is approximately 4’10” in height and approximately 130 pounds.
Sanchez’s health could be at risk as she does not have access to medication she requires daily, the release stated.
