EDINBURG – A woman who couldn’t locate her grandmother’s grave for decades is now able to mark the final resting place.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS reported Gloria Ramirez was unable to pinpoint her loved one’s grave at the Hidalgo County-owned public cemetery off Richardson Road in Edinburg.
After a county spokesperson confirmed records of those buried had not been collected for several years, a University of Texas Rio Grande Valley project helped connect locals with long-lost ancestors.
