EDINBURG – The city of Edinburg recently celebrated the life of renowned Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo, with its 5th Annual Frida Fest.

The crowds keep growing every year. There’s plenty of items to buy and eat.

Regardless of age, dozens also arrived dressed to enter the look-a-like contest.

This year’s contest winner, Sofia Tijerina, says Frida Kahlo has a special meaning to her.

“She’s always shown a woman can do it all no matter how they look, what they have,” said Tijerina.
