Drug Seizure Considered Largest in Alamo Police Department's History
ALAMO – A drug bust is being considered the largest in the Alamo Police Department’s history.
A picture shared by the department shows hundreds of wrapped packages concealed in an 18-wheeler.
The driver was 32-year-old Jonathan Antonio Amendariz Martinez.
He was arraigned Thursday afternoon on two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Armendariz is also charged for 4,500 grams of cocaine and 456,000 grams of meth.
Police estimate it represents a street value of $10 million.
Chief Bauldelio Castillo says it’s the largest drug seizure of its kind.
